Aluminum high-voltage
capacitors are generally polarized. Reversed polarity is the cause of short-circuit damage and leakage of aluminum high-voltage capacitors. Therefore, when the polarity on the electrical circuit cannot be identified or used in a circuit with a polarity conversion design, Please use non-polar high-voltage capacitors.
1. Overload
Do not continuously apply overload voltage. When the voltage is overloaded, the leakage current of the high-voltage capacitor will increase rapidly, so the working voltage of the high-voltage capacitor should not exceed the rated value.
2. Soldering
Inappropriate soldering temperature and time may cause abnormal shrinkage and rupture of the surface hose. Sometimes high temperatures will conduct heat to the inside of the element through the guide pins and terminals, which will cause adverse effects on the product. Therefore, it is necessary to avoid excessively high temperatures and long-term soldering.
3. The mechanical strength of the guide pin and terminal
Do not apply excessive external force to the pins and terminals. Do not pull the high-voltage capacitor that has been soldered on the PC board, and do not lift or move the entire PC board with the high-voltage capacitor as the point of application.
4. Operating temperature and life
The operating temperature of aluminum high-voltage capacitors should not exceed the operating temperature setting range. The life of aluminum high-voltage capacitors depends on the operating temperature. Generally speaking, when the operating temperature of aluminum high-voltage capacitors is reduced by 10°C, their life will increase to Twice, so aluminum high-voltage capacitors should be used at lower temperatures as much as possible.
5. Explosion-proof hole
When using aluminum high-voltage capacitors with explosion-proof holes, the explosion-proof holes should be kept at least 3mm away from other institutions. If such conditions are not met, the explosion-proof holes will not operate normally.
6. Ripple current
Do not apply a ripple current that exceeds the allowable value of the rated ripple current. Excessive ripple current will cause the internal temperature of the aluminum high-voltage capacitor to rise abnormally, causing deterioration and damage to the aluminum high-voltage capacitor. If necessary, apply the rated ripple current. If you require ripple currents above the value, please consult our factory personnel.
7. Charge and discharge
Frequent and rapid charging and discharging will cause the internal temperature of the capacitor to rise abnormally, increase the leakage current, reduce the capacity, and sometimes cause damage to the product. If you have special requirements for charging and discharging, please consult our factory personnel.
8. Storage of aluminum high-voltage capacitors
After long-term storage of aluminum high-voltage capacitors, the leakage current usually tends to increase. Therefore, before using high-voltage capacitors after long-term storage, a rated voltage must be applied to restore the electrical characteristics to normal, such as storage time If it is longer than 6 months, please connect a 1KΩ protective resistor in series, and let it continue to load the rated working voltage for 30 minutes. In addition, the high-voltage capacitor should be stored in a normal temperature and humidity environment.
